The SIA Powertrain exhibition, organised by the Société des Ingénieurs de l’Automobile, was held again from 11 to 12 June.
For the occasion, two of our employees, Julien Jourdan and Sébastien Saliou, travelled to Port-Marly to attend. The programme included a number of conferences and vehicle demonstrations.
Technical conferences:
- Renault : ambition for a 40% cost reduction in EVs and improve time-to-market (e.g. Twingo <2 years),
- a panel group: on electrification, customer confusion, and the need for technology diversity and re-discuss legislation (2035 deadline),
- Stellantis : multi-V-ECU simulation platform, reducing real testing needs and costs,
- NXP : smart observer-based control to avoid motor shutdowns and enhance fault tolerance,
- Altair : use of AI for e-motor design optimization—15× faster iterations,
- FEV : dedicated H2 ICE control strategy, improving NOx handling and robustness,
- Phinia : real-life deployment of H2 ICE-powered LCVs and PMR bus,
- The Future Is Neutral : second life for powertrains through repairability,
- An industry panel: facing the challenge of regulations, Chinese competition, and use European strongness: simulation and think out of the box..
