Debriefing on Eurosatory 2026

Eurosatory, the world’s leading defence and security trade fair, took place from 19 to 23 June in Paris.

Eurosatory once again confirmed its status as an unmissable event for stakeholders in the defence, security and crisis management sectors. Over five days, manufacturers, institutions, armed forces, start-ups and international partners discussed the major challenges that will shape the capabilities of tomorrow.

This year’s event highlighted several key trends:

  • the growing integration of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and robotics,
  • the rise of multi-domain approaches (land, air, cyber, space),
  • the strengthening of industrial resilience and supply chains,
  • the development of interoperability between partners and systems.

Beyond the technology demonstrations, the conferences addressed the challenges associated with defence against hypersonic and ballistic threats, advanced simulations for the development of drones (ground-based and airborne), and the role of digital infrastructure in next-generation defence systems.

One observation kept coming up throughout the exhibition: artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous systems are playing an increasingly important role in defence capabilities. The challenge is no longer to demonstrate their potential, but to integrate them effectively into operations, whilst ensuring system reliability, data protection and interoperability between different platforms. Simulation and modelling tools, as well as digital twins, are also helping to accelerate the development and validation of new capabilities.
